New Zealand Custom Harley
Trike wins two of four Awards at City of Cycles
Motorcycle Show 2007
H.D.CYCLES workshop is now located 35 Tawn
Street, Pukete, Hamilton. Dave and the Crew are
still settling in and getting the shop sorted
while they attend to those finishing touches.
New photos will be posted soon as we tidy up the
end of an era of the bike shop in the Photo
Gallery.
Dave Parsons: Custom bike builder in Hamilton,
New Zealand.
Originally a diesel mechanic by trade,
Dave Parsons repaired and built bikes from home as a sideline.
He decided it was time to
start the bike shop known as H.D.Cycles and specialised in parts
and services for American & British motorcycles, full bike
rebuilds in a large workshop with all machining and engine
rebuilding facilities. Dave's been involved with motorcycles for
seventeen and a half years and now specialises in
American & Custom Motorcycles. H.D.Cycles has been operating
for over five years and has moved to the new premises due to
expansion of the business.
In 2005- 2006, Dave
and his Crew turned their skills to building custom bikes keeping
in with the growing trend overseas and the interest from Kiwi
Bikers wanting Kiwi made American & Custom bikes. Two custom motorcycles
built in 2006 by H.D.Cycles have been shown in recent Motorcycle
Shows (Auckland & Tauranga) with one of them taking Top Prize for
Top Bike of the Show and Top American Custom.
Everyone has to start somewhere and Dave
gave
Brigit Bell the opportunity to photograph these custom
projects to completion and permission to share these images with
the regular customers, Kiwi Bikers and Bikers around the globe
for this exclusive inside look into American and Custom motorcycles in
New Zealand.
Dave's a very
dedicated and respected man and he goes the extra mile when it
comes to keeping his customers happy and their bikes running sweet
for the ride. Customers in the Waikato, and further a field keep
Dave and his Crew very busy and they look forward to a bright
future in the new workshop and premises.
Many Thanks
to Dave & Crew @ H.D.CYCLES
