The fifth annual event for Have a Go Day Experience is the only day the general public, riders and swingers can have a go on these three wheeled motorcycles.

The Swingers Experience

About 18 sidecars and teams arrived at the Taupo Track with the event kicking off around 10am for all those eager to try their hand and luck at swinging on a sidecar. Nice and steady was the pace around this short course track and the weather stayed simply perfect for this crowd of enthusiasts. The annual event also gives the sidecar riders and swingers the opportunity to try out on different competitors sidecars and even swapping roles.

Those that were game enough to ride the infamous '666' were rather wide eyed back in pit lane after that formula hell demon ride and one unfortunate swinger 'Shane' took a tumble and is toting some not so nice injuries. Three swingers were reported to have fallen off different sidecars and although a little shaken, swinger  'Olivia' on 242 wasn't hurt when the moto guzzi rolled and the swinger on sidecar 28 was captured landing on the trac.

The Classic Moto Guzzi 242's looking brand spanking new with the Tribute signature for Brett Sproull and trying out for a new swinger was highly likely with one person in particular showing some serious potential. The classic sidecars were popular for rides and especially 242 Moto Guzzi and the Classic BMW. Those individuals that rode both classes of sidecars were high on adrenaline and ready and waiting to go out again for the ride of their life.

Let's Do It...

The feed back from the public who experienced more than a few rides on different classic and formula sidecars will be quite the 'Brag' for sometime to come. Awesome photos guys...

Classic BMW Sidecar  Ride

This experience certainly beats riding passenger with a drunk driver any day. I had a helmet on, my eyes were open and it was a real track not a motorway.
