National Series Competition 2007

Huntly Speedway 28th April 2007:

For the first time the Media were invited to cover this action packed Round 2 of the New Zealand North Island day and night event held at the Huntly Speedway Stadium. As the spectators sit in the stadium the Media made their way into the designated areas after a briefing on the known dangers and risks from the Organisers. Any Motor racing sport is dangerous and for these photographers, registered ORANZ drivers and MNZ riders, this all knowing fact is simply part of the event.

To work along side Top Photographers is a highly competitive industry in New Zealand and Brigit received a warm welcome as they shared shots between races. She got some of her best shots during the daytime racing with the kind of results worth smiling about. Even under two main stadium lights (night racing) she got the Arty Farty Award shot of the night amongst the Media crew for effort.

A nine minute video was filmed and created by Dave Shaw 'Petrolfumes' of different Offroad races and classes. The video clip Stadium Style available on youtube with many other motor racing events filmed by Petrolfumes. The fastness of the Offroad racing and opportunities of spectacular, action jump shots had Brigit smiling. A passion for motorcycles combined with the Offroad Quad bike racing on the day is like the icing on the cake for Brigit.
